  • Salary: £43,723 - £47,054 per annum (pro rata if part time)

Are you ready for a new and exciting challenge, supporting the delivery of quality front line services in Waveney. As a Senior Practitioner you will be an integral part of supporting the Locality to deliver high-quality services to the people of Waveney.

Your role and responsibilities

  • To support the Team Manager in the Leadership and management of the team, ensuring effective operations in planning, and staff well-being and development.
  • Working with the Team Manager in the effective operational delivery health and social care to support health care process and resources. Highlight opportunities for joint delivery and reduction in service cost within the health and care system.
  • To support the Team Manager in responding to needs of the service, to monitor and review service delivery whilst supporting staff to deliver best practice, and the escalation of risks as appropriate.
  • To support the Team Manager with robust budget management and implementing budgetary control mechanisms, to ensure that spending profiles are met whilst saving challenges are delivered.
  • Ensure staff are fully engaged with systems transformation, working effectively with the system transformation team to ensure that all system changes, information, technology and digital are implemented and embedded.
  • To promote a high-performance culture within the area teams that is flexible, innovative, responsive to changing priorities and empowers people to deliver excellence, best value, and continuous improvement for the people of Suffolk.

You will need:

  • A social Work or Occupational Therapist qualification and have extensive knowledge of adult social care.
  • Experience of supervising, and developing staff, supporting practice, and ensuring quality service delivery.
  • Confidence to lead and shape team development.
  • Good knowledge of the Care Act and related legislation that support adults in our community. Local knowledge would be an advantage and knowledge of local demographic, complexities, and resources.
  • Experience of working with partners and an understanding of the integrated care strategy for health and adult social care.

Waveney is aligned the Gt Yarmouth and North Suffolk ICB and is committed to working towards an integrated health and social care system to support better outcomes for adults in our area. You will play a key part in supporting this work alongside the Team Manager, Senior Practitioner and a dynamic hardworking team of Social Workers, Independence and Well-Being Practitioners and Occupational Therapist.

The team is based at Riverside working alongside Mental Health, Learning Disabilities colleagues to ensure collaborative efficient service delivery.
