Full Time, Permanent Senior Practitioner post in North and West Locality Team 2.
An exciting opportunity has come up for a Senior practitioner's post within the North and West Locality Team 2.
Our Locality Team is looking for resourceful, resilient, proactive individuals that recognise the value of multidisciplinary working and promote a whole service approach, with our internal & external colleagues. We work with individuals over the age of 25 who has eligible care and support needs and works under the statutory requirements of Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2015.
You will have support from your team manager & service manager. You must have an interest in, and experience of, working in a multi-disciplinary way, be able to work quickly, proportionately and have confidence in respect of evidence based and defensible decision making and positive risk taking. You will have a full induction and opportunities for training and continuous professional development activities.
You will ensure citizens receive the right professional expertise for their presenting needs at the earliest opportunity: preventing or delaying the need for care and support through maximising independence, autonomy, community engagement, managing or enabling risk, and health promotion.
The senior practitioner role involves supervising social care practitioners, social workers, and overseeing the development of ASYEs & student social workers; being part of the leadership team and undertaking strategic work; delegating for the team manager when needed, work together with the team manager to build the team and the service and building relationships with internal and external partners. You will have responsibility to manage the duty desk, support practitioners to respond to urgencies, case allocations and other operational matters.
You will need to be a good communicator, with excellent time management skills. You must have a good working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 including Safeguarding Adults process; the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Best Interest Decision making process. A significant aspect of the role is coordination of safeguarding enquiries providing advice and guidance to practitioners and chairing strategy meetings.
You will require a social work qualification and registration with relevant bodies.
We have an agile working policy in place for home working.
