This role has a pan-European remit, leading on external and internal communications. The Senior PR & Communications Manager will be part of the brand and marketing team and report into the Director of PR & Communications, and will line manage three colleagues within the team structure. This role works closely with all brand and marketing teams, as well as PR agencies in market to help shape and drive forward the strategy and delivery of campaign execution. By working closely with pan-European and regional colleagues, they will develop and deliver holistic and joined up campaigns that resonate on a local level and ultimately drive SkyShowtime's awareness, as well as subscriber growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead for internal and external comms within the PR and Communications team.
  • Work with the Director of PR & Comms to develop, plan and lead the PR and Communications strategy for consumer, corporate and internal comms.
  • Reporting line manager to three colleagues who are based in London: PR Manager, Internal Comms Manager and PR & Comms Executive.
  • Work closely with brand and marketing teams to ensure any PR campaigns and messaging are seamlessly integrated and complimentary as part of the overarching through the line activity in market.
  • Bring to life the brand strategy through bold, disruptive and unique PR tactics that will excite and engage consumers in market and drive awareness about SkyShowtime and the entertainment offering.
  • Work with the Director of PR & Comms to develop, plan and lead the Internal Communications strategy for SkyShowtime in market to ensure awareness and understanding of SkyShowtime and its proposition across all employees.
  • Provide counsel to the Regional PR Managers.
  • Provide counsel to customer service and community management teams with reactive messaging.
  • Work with senior leadership team stakeholders to position them as a spokesperson for the business.
  • Day to day management of analysis and reporting on media coverage of SkyShowtime and industry news / competitor news.
  • Cultivating relationships with international trade media including influential print, digital and broadcast journalists.
  • Writing media releases and other press materials including briefing notes, talent schedules, reactive Q&A's and more.
  • Managing internal and external events.
  • Reactive support managing queries from media.
  • Issues and incident management when required.
  • Budget management.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience in either a PR agency or in-house PR and Comms (desired industries: SVOD, Subscription based services, TV, Entertainment).
  • Organised self-starter.
  • Able to drive momentum through projects with the ability to make things happen in an environment of ambiguity, complexity and multiple stakeholders.
  • A highly collaborative style and able to thrive in a team environment and also work independently.
  • Excellent communicator, able to handle senior business and external partners with sensitivity and nuance. Able to offer guidance and advice at senior levels.
  • Strong written skills.
  • Experience in event management.
  • Experience in agency management.
  • Experience in people management (line manager responsibility).
  • Resilient and flexible under pressure.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and changing environment.
