Bumble's policy team creates and evolves the community guidelines that ensure kind and empowering and authentic self-expression in an environment of safety. As a Sr Policy Manager on the Trust & Safety team, you will be responsible for developing, evolving and ensuring cohesive content and conduct policies across Bumble's platforms and diverse global communities. You will lead projects relating to policy implementation, partnering closely with cross-functional peers to ensure principled, compliant and scaled moderation across Bumble's platforms and alignment with Bumble's values and strategic goals.

This role will report into our Associate Director, Safety and Integrity Policies.

What You'll Do

• Draw from data, qualitative customer insights and external research to proactively identify emerging policy needs and ensure principled compliance with an active regulatory landscape.
• Develop new policies and oversee a systematic program of auditing and iterating on policies to ensure their robustness and responsiveness to member needs.
• Examine manual processes to identify trends and build systemic solutions with appropriate mechanisms to ensure adequate guardrails.
• Review policy processes and workflows and build strong feedback loops with cross-functional teams and external partners, to drive collaboration, alignment and cross-team efficiencies.
• Build trusted stakeholder relationships and ensure that stakeholders receive a consistent experience across policy domains. Independently scope and prioritize work, while managing stakeholder relationships and expectations across a range of workstreams of varying complexity and velocities. Implement metrics, simplify processes and approach problems with a data-driven mindset.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate complex policy escalations and manage incident response in a rigorous, principled and time-effective manner.

Experience We Are Looking For

• You have significant experience developing and scaling policy or policy operations at a technology company.
• You have a strong appreciation of the downstream impacts of policy decisions on tooling, operations and member experience.
• You have experience working with in-house moderation teams as well as external commercial partners.
• You are comfortable wearing many hats and skillfully adapt to evolving needs and priorities.
• You are fluent in data analysis and deliver data-driven decisions.
• You have a demonstrated capacity for critical thinking, pay keen attention to detail and can comprehend and communicate complex technical issues.
• You have prior experience engaging with potentially disturbing content and subject matter (e.g. sexual assault/misconduct, child sexual abuse material, online harassment, non-consensual pornography).
