We are looking for an exceptional candidate to be part of our exciting leadership team, to deliver our priorities for excellent housing management services including tackling anti-social behaviour, tenancy sustainment, tenancy checks and environmental improvements.
Role Overview
The role will involve collaborating and using partnerships to deliver positive outcomes for our residents, which this role is at the heart of shaping, ensuring value for money. Other areas of responsibility include:
- Leading the implementation of the council's housing strategy and to oversee the delivery of housing services ensuring outstanding outcomes for our residents.
- Working strategically with other service heads to ensure services are delivered consistently, delivering positive customer outcomes.
- Managing budgets and resources effectively to ensure value for money and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Providing inspirational leadership to the housing team, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous improvement
About you
- Senior management experience in the provision of housing services within a multi-cultural urban community
- Demonstrable track record and background of consistent achievement at senior level in a local authority or large complex organisation.
- Proven transformational leadership & management experience.
- Track record in performance management, driving improvements and efficiencies with a significant track record executing team and individual performance effectively.
- Proven track record in delivering results within a complex, politically directed organisation, recognising and responding appropriately to politically sensitive situations.
- Understanding of housing policy and its impact on social housing practice, with the ability to maintain a high awareness of issues that can cause legal, reputational and financial risks to the council,
