The opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Senior PMO Analyst to join us on the exciting and rewarding path we are taking here at Castle Trust Bank. Having become a fully authorised bank in 2020, we pride ourselves in being a fintech challenger bank, providing specialist property mortgages, retail finance lending and savings accounts to a variety of customers.
Joining our Transformation team within our Technology function, you will lead the Programme Management Office by providing expert analysis, reporting, and strategic insights for successful project delivery. Responsibilities include tracking program deliverables and milestones, supporting project lifecycle adoption, budget and financial management, risk and issue coordination, monitoring project status, and coordinating reporting cycles and governance arrangements. Occasionally you will support project delivery, ensuring documentation is up to date, providing status updates, and helping acquire necessary resources. Key priorities will include:
- Project Governance and Reporting: Develop and uphold project governance frameworks and standards, ensuring adherence to PMO methodologies. Generate reports on project metrics for senior management, analyse project data for improvements, and support audits to comply with regulations and policies.
- Financial and Budget Management: Oversee Project budget management, tracking expenditures, providing financial reports, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Stakeholder Management: acting as a liaison between the PMO, project managers, and senior leadership, communicating project updates to stakeholders, building relationships with internal and external parties, and understanding stakeholder needs to provide tailored support.
- Risk and Issue Management: Summarise project risks and issues, track and resolve them, offer recommendations, and collaborate on contingency plans for business continuity.
- Resource Management: manage resource allocation and utilisation across projects, monitor resource capacity and availability, coordinate with delivery managers and to address gaps and skill needs, and facilitate smooth onboarding and offboarding processes for project delivery.
The role will be on a hybrid working arrangement, 3 days a week from our Basingstoke office and the rest of the week from home.
What we are looking for in you...
What is important to us is that you have demonstrable experience working with PMO methodologies and processes in both agile and waterfall environments, ideally in regulated financial services. You will have proven experience in managing significant budgets with the ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within project timeframes, remaining organised in a dynamic work environment. You should have relevant PMO certifications (MoP, P3O or P3GP) and desirable that you have Project Management certifications such as PRINCE2 or PMP.
What is also important is that you have strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships with senior managers and other key internal and external stakeholders around the business. You will have high impact presentation skills, demonstrable leadership skills/capability and the ability to think strategically and big picture. It is important that you are a team player whilst being able work effectively independently. You will have good knowledge of MS Office programmes which are crucial in this role, with a passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change.
