About Lambeth Council Technology

We need an ambitious technical and ambitious person to join us a Senior Platform and Infrastructure Engineer in our Technology Service at Lambeth Council.

About the Role:

We need an experienced Senior Platform and Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Brixton.

The role will be to deputising for the Head of Platform and Infrastructure in the development and management of a team of 4 staff to meet required Service and Operational Levels, device, and infrastructure performance requirements, that enable business operations to continue successfully.

What we do is so important, we keep our front-line workers connected to the tools and technology they need to deliver in their roles. Their roles impact the lives of the residents of Lambeth every hour of every day, and we want to do the best we can.

To be considered for interview, your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence:

  • An experienced Senior Platform and Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in cloud and server infrastructure environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to assist in influencing, persuading, and negotiating with stakeholders.
  • Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
  • Able to demonstrate good experience in a Senior Engineering role preferably working within a large Local Authority or with a Service Provider providing platform and infrastructure support services to the public sector.
  • A track record of working within effective teams delivering high quality services that have been proved successful in meeting complex business requirements and in enabling standardization, simplification, sharing and re-use.
  • Able to demonstrate a clear understanding and capability to work within relevant IT related standards.
  • Educated to A level or equivalent Microsoft Certified 365 Fundamentals, or Azure Fundamentals or Dev Ops Engineer relevant vendor qualifications
