Our Natural Resources team spans Clean Energy (wind, solar, hydrogen, hydroelectric and Nuclear), Decarbonisation, Mining and Oil & Gas. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Planner to join our team based in the central belt of Scotland, supporting a portfolio of clean energy projects for one of Scotland's major clean energy providers. Typical activities will include developing scope aligned work breakdown structures and robust baselines, establishing progress monitoring and data driven reporting frameworks, producing S-curves and manpower histograms, assessment of critical path, schedule risk analysis and 'what-if scenarios', all of which drive production of project control reports and provision of performance analysis and recommendations for our client.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a project controls environment on large capex projects within the energy sector is desirable. This may include experience in onshore windfarms, piping and process facilities, gas to power and/or gas compression projects.
- Have worked on all phases of major capex projects from concept to execute and have demonstrated experience in developing an EPC schedule on a major project.
- Track record of confidently providing analysis and advice as projects move from FEED towards FID and then into execution, alongside experience in working with Integrated Master Schedules
- UK Construction experience desirable
- Be able to work independently
- Skilled communicator working across disciples and with internal and external stakeholders
- Previous experience of the following tools is required: Oracle Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel,
Applicants will also require excellent written and verbal communication skills, be rigorous in following documented processes and governance and be able to demonstrate the ability to innovate in creative ways to meet the challenges of the changing project environment.
