Senior Planner

London (Central)

£40k-£50k

My client is a highly reputable consultancy who are looking for a Senior Planner to join their team in Central London. They are dedicated to creating sustainable, innovative and community-focused urban environments. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing intricate planning projects, offering expert advice, and contributing to the strategic growth of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex planning projects from inception to completion.
• Provide strategic planning advice to clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals.
• Engage with local authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct site assessments and prepare development feasibility studies.
• Mentor and support junior planning staff.
• Ensure compliance with relevant planning legislation and policies.
• Participate in public consultations and represent the company at planning committees.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a planning role, with a proven track record in managing complex projects.
• Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or eligibility for membership.
• Strong understanding of the UK planning system and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
