About the Role

As a Senior Planner, you'll take charge of managing high-profile projects, providing expert planning advice, and contributing to the strategic development of Leeds and its surrounding areas. This role offers the opportunity to lead on major developments, mentor junior team members, and make a tangible impact on the city's growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and deliver complex planning applications and appeals.
• Provide strategic advice to clients in the public and private sectors.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental appraisals.
• Represent clients in negotiations with local authorities and planning committees.
• Stay up-to-date with planning policy changes and industry trends.
• Lead and mentor junior planners, fostering professional growth within the team.

About You

We're looking for a motivated professional with:

• A degree in Town Planning, Urban Design, or a related field (RTPI accreditation or working towards it is desirable).
• Experience in a planning role, ideally within the public or private sector.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and local planning frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A passion for creating sustainable and community-focused developments.
