Senior Planner

Birmingham

£35k-£45k

My client is seeking an ambitious and motivated Senior Planner to join their Birmingham team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and delivering a variety of planning projects, providing expert advice to client, and contributing to the growth and success of the consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex planning projects from inception to completion.
• Provide professional planning advice to clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
• Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals.
• Conduct site appraisals, research, and feasibility studies.
• Liaise with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior planning staff.
• Stay updated with the latest planning policies, regulations, and best practices.
• Represent the company at public meetings, hearings, and inquiries.

Requirements:

• A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) or working towards it.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a planning role, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and regulations.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in planning software and Microsoft Office Suite
