You will be comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams and capable of translating technical and construction methodologies into robust and realistic programmes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6 (and other planning tools as required).

- Provide planning input to support tendering, design development, construction sequencing, and resource allocation.
- Conduct critical path, delay, and "what-if" analyses to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Support the production of weekly and monthly reports, including progress updates, earned value analysis, and variance assessments.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners to ensure alignment on programme objectives and milestones.
- Champion best practices in planning and project controls, mentoring junior planners where appropriate.
Experience/qualifications:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Planner/Senior Planner within a civil engineering contractor environment (major infrastructure experience preferred).
- Strong site-based experience early in career - understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and constraints is essential.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6; experience with other software (Tilos, MS Project, Power BI) advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of NEC contracts and project reporting requirements.
- Experience on major infrastructure or rail projects (HS2 preferred) desirable.

- Competitive salary
- Car/car allowance
- 10% company pension contribution
- Yearly bonus
