We have an exciting new role available as part of our planning and logistics team as a Senior Planner.

The Senior Planner will be responsible for coordinating and optimising planning schedules across multiple product lines to ensure the efficient and timely manufacture of finished goods to supply to customer. This role involves being a key liaison with various departments internally and externally, such as procurement, production, CMO's quality and commercial to balance supply and demand effectively. The Senior Planner will analyse data, monitor inventory levels, and ensure resources are used efficiently to meet targets and customer demands. The Senior Planner completes monthly KPI's ensuring results are reported on-time. Attend escalation and project meetings as and when required

Requirements

  • Produce capacity plan detail to enable forward planning of manufacturing areas (site & CMO's)
  • Coordinating workflow for multiple products
  • Planning and prioritising to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
  • Provide site/companywide visibility of plans providing visibility of up-and-coming activities for the weeks and months ahead
  • Ensure daily planning team and weekly planning meetings keep momentum, stay positive and productive and ensure open actions are followed through to completion
  • Feed changes to plan into Master Production Schedule / Supply plan & MPS
  • Be key liaison with internal stakeholders to plan and forecast samples coming from manufacturing
  • Take the lead at the weekly planning meeting (for your respective planning area)
  • Monitor jobs/testing/tasks/trackers to ensure activities will finish on time and within budget (analyse data on material consumption, monthly reporting BOM v Actual, lead-times, number of finished tests / products, on time delivery, percentage of defectives, OTIF etc)
  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Obtain output information (number of finished tests/products, on time delivery, percentage of defectives etc) ensuring plans and ERP aligned maintaining Sox compliance
  • Prepare and submit status and performance KPI reports
  • Support and drive effective communications and execution of tasks through daily group planning meeting
  • Create 'what if' scenarios based upon operational requirements, maintain capacity analysis tools and use these tools to support our resource, materials, planning activities and document effectively
  • Maintain planning tools to provide visibility of tasks and progression reporting back to planning group and maintain effective site wide communication
  • Co-ordinate external service providers expectations on planning activities for shutdowns and servicing
  • Take the lead on managing and controlling usage on materials at CMO's feeding back into the planning and supply chain function setting and controlling min/ max based on usage
  • Raise requisitions for services and obtain appropriate signatory for external activities
  • Effective management of QMS (eg deviations, CAPA and change controls)
  • Provide support to the department and contribute to an environment of energy, enthusiasm, empowerment, continuous improvement and motivation
  • Monitor capacity and utilisation through weekly planning meeting
  • Be pro-active by looking for improvement opportunities, encourage co workers to have good work ethic, taking pride in their work to ensure the planning team maintain professionalism with clear communication and become a successful planning team for Valneva
  • To undertake any other duties as requested by the line manager in accordance with company requirements

Experience

Relevant cross functional work experience in a regulated industry

Strong business knowledge and commercial acumen with the ability to focus and prioritise critical tasks

Experience working within a complex Manufacturing/Engineering/QC/QA/Logistics/Planning/ SCM environment with external CMO planning experience

Experience of the production of high level programs with complex inter-dependencies

Ability to work competently with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

ERP System Experience

Experience working with APS system advantageous
