The post would suit individuals with care experience who are looking for a career within the NHS. Qualified therapists are unlikely to be suitable for a post, as the ideal candidate will be committed to developing the role and taking it forward.

Applicants should be able to work independently and as part of a team. They will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be committed to further personal and professional development.

• Able to communicate - written and verbal - logically and accurately, in English, imparting information to others
• Able to recognise and adapt communication styles when met with people who have difficulty communicating
• Able to recognise boundaries of own practice and responsibility
• Can demonstrate decision-making ability
