Job overview
The respiratory physiology service has an opportunity to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic individual to the role of Senior Clinical Physiologist. This is a hybrid role, working between the Trust-based lung function labs and the integrated care service, providing support to the community respiratory clinics. You will join a busy, friendly, multidisciplinary team including physiologists, clinical scientists, administrators and consultants.
In lung function, the post-holder will be responsible for performing a range of standard and complex lung function tests. As part of the cross-site rota, there will be the opportunity to work in the Sleep Centre at Charing Cross Hospital to develop, or maintain skills in respiratory polygraphy analysis and CPAP compliance clinics. We also host PTP and STP students, so there is the opportunity to be involved in teaching.
In the integrated care role, you will support the community teams with ARTP accreditation and portfolios. The postholder will be required to proactively contribute to the wider development of the service, coordinating delivery of the community spirometry clinics and developing the diagnostic hubs.
It is essential for the successful applicant to have had previous experience in lung function testing, with a good science background with a BSc in Healthcare Science (respiratory major) or equivalent. It would be desirable if you have obtained the ARTP practitioners examination and are working towards AHCS equivalence.
