Senior PHP Developer
Reports to: CTO
At Chargehive, we're proudly driving down the cost of revenue operations for subscription-based SaaS companies. We build software to enable subscription management, intelligent billing collection cycles and automated global tax calculations.
Responsibilities:
• Backend Development:
• Maintain and enhance existing PHP codebase.
• Lead the migration of monolithic PHP applications into microservices architecture.
• Develop new features and functionalities using PHP and/or Golang. • Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Technical Expertise:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and trends. • Proactively identify and address technical debt.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. • Mentor other backend engineers.
• Problem Solving:
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues.
• Analyze and optimize application performance.
• Work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Be adaptable and capable of taking on new backend frameworks and technologies as needed.
Requirements:
• Strong proficiency in PHP.
• Experience with Golang is a plus.
• Proven ability to build scalable and efficient backend applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for clean code.
• Experience with Payment Processing and PCI compliance is a major plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
