Job overview

We are looking for a qualified Pharmacy Technician to join our team of pharmacy staff serving Hampshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

You will be based in the Pharmacy Technician-managed dispensary at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire hospital, but the flexibility to travel to all hospitals within the Trust is essential.

Main duties of the job

  • Supervising junior staff & workflow
  • Supporting with training others
  • Participating in reviewing SOPs
  • Investigating incident reports
  • Final Accuracy Checking
  • Supporting workflow
  • Dispensing inpatient and out-patient prescriptions
  • Stock control, ordering and supply of medicines

  • Registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician

ACPT Accreditation

Essential criteria

  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician Qualification

Desirable criteria

  • Practice Supervisor Accreditation
  • NVQ A1 Assessor

Computers

Essential criteria

  • Experience of working with pharmacy computer systems

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of using JAC
  • Previous hospital experience
