Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

• BTEC/NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services, Science Manufacturing Technician or equivalent
• A member of the GPhC or the Science Council or equivalent
• Accredited Technical Checker

Desirable criteria

• Aseptic Preparation and Dispensing of Medicines APDM course completion

Experience

Essential criteria

• Demonstrable knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Experience of the preparation of aseptic products

Desirable criteria

• Environmental, Equipment and product monitoring experience

Knowledge

Essential criteria

• Knowledge and application of SOPs and Quality Assurance systems, GMP and GDP

Desirable criteria

• Knowledge of legal requirements associated with the provision of aseptically dispensed and manufactured 'specials'

Skills

Essential criteria

• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload
• Ability to set routines and implement new working procedures
• Ability to respond to non-routine queries and escalate when outside limitations
