Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • NVQ2 in pharmacy services
  • Will undertake additional training as required for post

Desirable criteria

  • IT proficient

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Competant and accurate dispenser
  • ability to work unsupervised
  • Previous experience of a pharmacy environment
  • Ability to undertake manual lifting including delivery services
  • Will participate in weekend, late stay and bank holiday rotas.

Desirable criteria

  • Proficient on a pharmacy computer system
  • Previous experience in stores and/or procurement

Skills

Essential criteria

  • Good communication skills and able to follow written and oral communication
  • Adaptability to new situations
  • Ability to work under pressure

Desirable criteria

  • Willingness to undertake further training

Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
