Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Responsible for the management, development, monitoring and professional/clinical leadership of all aspects of the Patient Services section of the Pharmacy Department via a team of directly accountable staff.
- Ensures that services are delivered to a high standard in a safe and cost effective manner according to relevant legislation, professional standards/requirements and local strategy.
- Responsible for the oversight of all dispensary based clinical trials.
• Contributes to the operational and general management of the pharmacy department in conjunction with other principal pharmacists and performs an active role in the strategic development of pharmacy services and medicines management initiatives

- Significant post registration hospital experience
- Experience in managing patient services
- Experieice in staff management
- Training & supervisory experience
- Change management experience

- Formal management training

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
