Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Performance & Reporting Analyst (Senior Project Controls Engineer Grade) to join our busy and expanding, Bristol based, Defence team, who are undertaking a range of Controls & Performance duties on several high-profile Infrastructure Projects/Programmes. Additionally, this role will provide the opportunity to innovate, collaborate and learn from our experienced and award-winning Performance & Reporting community and wider extensive Controls and Performance Network.

Key Responsibilities

Working alongside project delivery teams as part of a wider reporting & performance management team or independently with reach back support to experienced performance & reporting professionals, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Tailoring reporting processes to meet the client's needs and aligning with best practice.
  • Deliver to performance and reporting management plans for our clients based on project requirements, maturity, and best practice.
  • Implementing, administering, and maintaining reporting systems and procedures to track project controls performance.
  • Working with the Integrated Project Team to establish a robust, integrated, well structured, accurate Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and support the change control process.
  • Roll out reporting calendars to ensure a consistent drumbeat of performance data and sufficient time to assure and analyse outputs.
  • Work with project controls to define requirements and data flows for information management systems and supporting our digital teams in their implementation.
  • Lead the development, analysis and maintenance of corporate datasets.
  • Developing project performance reports and dashboards, providing recommendations to relevant stakeholders and management to support effective decision making.
  • Training and coaching clients and less experienced team members on performance and reporting management processes and practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience undertaking reporting activities in a project or programme environment.
  • Demonstrable track record in identifying reporting and data requirements and documenting these using the appropriate types of tools and documentation is essential.
  • A project controls related qualification (e.g. Project Planning & Controls)
  • An understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting and performance reporting and analysis is desirable.
  • Awareness of some Project Controls software (Primavera P6, Active Risk Manager, Ecosys etc)
  • Experience in using data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • A basic understanding of how other aspects of Project Controls (Scheduling, Cost Control, Change Control) interact with Reporting
