We are looking for a Senior Performance Analyst

Location: London Reporting to: Analytics Manager

The role

Millions of people visit the Rightmove website every day, to view more property listings than any other portal in the UK. We have a huge amount of data describing how people use our site, and what this means to our customers.

We're on the lookout for a brilliant Senior Performance Analyst to join our collaborative, ambitious Data Analytics team. In this performance driven role, you will leverage your expertise to connect the dots on what's driving overall business performance and provide clear insights that unlock growth opportunities and directly impact key business metrics.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior management and cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to develop the reporting that unlocks valuable insight into user behaviour, product usage, and conversion.
  • Dive deep into Rightmove's rich data sets to identify hidden patterns and opportunities that may not be immediately obvious.
  • Craft compelling reports and analysis, that translates complex data into actionable insights, empower stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Develop visually appealing and easy-to-understand dashboards and reports to monitor progress against KPIs.
  • Champion a data-driven decision culture by fostering the use of new and existing dashboards, and through effective story telling.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends to stay ahead of the curve and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Build strong relationships with senior management, becoming a trusted advisor on Rightmove and competitor digital performance.
  • Implement and maintain data quality measures to ensure data is consistent, timely, and meets high standards.
  • Collaborate with Director of Data & Analytics and Analytics Manager in developing best in class analytics solutions.
  • Mentoring members of the team, including reviewing work and helping develop analytical skills and capabilities.
  • Prioritisation of requests and tickets, balancing the strategic and tactical needs to ensure efficient data delivery.

We are looking for someone who:

  • A proven track record of success in driving improvements through data analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Extensive experience with Google Analytics (GA4) and competitor analysis tools (SimilarWeb, Comscore, Data.AI)
  • Possesses strong SQL skills in BigQuery to find answers to ad-hoc and often complex questions. Additional programming languages is a plus.
  • Strong proficieny in dashboarding and reporting tools like Looker Core and Looker Studio to create visually appealing and informative dashboard.
  • A pro-active, self-starter with the passion for addressing ambiguous questions with data analysis.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, multi-tasking ability and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • A passion for staying connected with market trends for ongoing innovation.
  • Experience mentoring team members.
