As a Senior People Partner for Healthcare, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our HR strategy, working closely with key stakeholders and the wider HR team to create a fantastic workplace. Your strategic solutions will enable the business to achieve its goals, enhance customer experiences, and foster an inclusive culture with a diverse workforce.

You will act as a trusted partner who will develop deep business insight to effectively advise and coach leaders. Playing a pivotal role in making Compass a great place to work, with a strong focus on employee engagement, talent & succession, D&I and cultural change. You will be responsible for bringing evidence-based practice into the Business and addressing the people challenges the Business faces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop People Strategies: Collaborate with leadership teams to understand business goals and develop strategies to attract, develop, and retain talent, improve colleague engagement, and enhance business performance.
  • Strategic Partnering: Advise, coach, and support leadership teams on all strategic people-related matters, providing valuable insights and challenging the status quo.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyse people metrics to provide actionable management information, influencing people-related interventions and driving performance improvements.
  • HR Excellence: Advocate for the adoption and compliance with people policies and processes, ensuring HR products meet sector requirements.
  • Project Management: Create and deliver strategic people plans and projects, ensuring effective implementation, communication, training, and change management.
  • Annual HR Cycle: Support key HR activities, including salary reviews, talent and succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Bid Support: Lead the people elements of bids, retenders, and presentations, ensuring a strong HR presence in business development.
  • HR Operating Model: Embed the HR operating model across the business, driving consistency and efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvement opportunities in HR processes and procedures.
  • Employee Forum: Oversee the implementation of an Employee Forum, ensuring employee voices are heard and feedback is acted upon.
  • Change Management: Support and coach leaders through organizational changes, including design and implementation.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion, supporting the EDI strategy and being an active ally for employee representative groups.
  • Transformational Change: Provide expert advice on restructures, TUPE, and redundancy, ensuring a commercially focused approach to cost and efficiency improvements.
  • Employee Relations: Support complex employee relations cases and Employment Tribunals as needed.
  • Strategic HR Projects: Lead selected strategic HR projects, driving impactful outcomes.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering a people plan within a People Partnering team.
  • Successful track record as a Strategic Business Partner in a fast-paced, customer-facing/operational business with a large, dispersed workforce.
  • Broad HR generalist experience, including Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Reward, Learning and Development, Employment Law (including TUPE), Employee Relations, Policy, and HR Shared Services.
  • Financially astute, commercially and digitally literate, with intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret management information and data.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Creative, passionate, forward-thinking and human-centric approach to HR.
  • Effective project management skills with a successful record of delivering enterprise-wide projects.
  • Effective and accurate written and verbal communication skills.
  • Engaged in continuous professional development, thought leadership, and best practices.
  • Have/or working towards Level 7 CIPD - MCIPD or able to demonstrate equivalent skills, knowledge, and behaviours.
