We are seeking a Senior People Operations Officer who will be responsible for ensuring efficient staff management and operational logistics. Key duties of the role include overseeing daily staffing, coordinating team communication, and ensuring compliance with policies. They manage attendance, scheduling, payroll, timesheets, pay queries, and onboarding. The role involves close collaboration with departments like culinary and HR to maintain accurate records. In the Head of People Operations' absence, they lead the People Team, providing guidance to ensure high standards. Their role is crucial in maintaining a productive, well-coordinated workforce.

More about the role:

  • Staffing & Scheduling: Manage daily staffing, update schedules, and resolve attendance issues.
  • Payroll: Verify timesheets and ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Communication: Liaise between People Operations and other departments; handle inquiries.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure compliance and manage HR records for new hires and changes.
  • Agency & Vendor Management: Coordinate with staffing agencies and vendors.
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain records and generate reports for staffing and payroll.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the team in the absence of leadership and organize meetings.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvements and stay updated on HR practices.
  • Event & Project Support: Assist in event planning and support special projects.

About you:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, operations, or people management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a senior or supervisory role is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the events calendar
