The Role

Are you ready to drive transformative change and shape the future of our business? GHD, a global leader in professional services, is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded individual to join our team as a Senior People Business Partner & Employee Relations Lead.

In this role, you will serve as a commercial strategic business partner, enabling our business to achieve its performance and growth ambitions. You'll support the UK People Leader in delivering transformation programs and projects, with a focus on shaping the Employee Relations approach for the region. Your expertise will be crucial in leading complex employee relations matters, influencing business leaders, and driving the execution of critical projects to support our EMEA and Global people plans.

You'll report to the Regional People Leader and collaborate closely with business leaders, line managers, Centres of Excellence (COE), legal teams, and other members of the EMEA and Global people team to develop integrated people solutions aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with leadership teams to understand business priorities and talent needs, implementing effective people strategies to build a high-performance culture.
  • Leading EMEA's employee experience strategy, embedding a culture of inclusion and corporate social responsibility.
  • Providing coaching, support, and advice to leaders and employees, designing and delivering people programs and projects to drive accountability and engagement.
  • Handling complex employee relation issues, mediating conflicts, and providing expert advice on challenging people issues.
  • Leading Employee Relations activity for the region, aligning policies, processes, and documentation with desired culture and legislative requirements.
  • Leading complex change projects, proposing commercial consultation strategies to achieve business goals while ensuring compliance.
  • Building relationships with external counterparts and stakeholders to identify innovation and improvement opportunities.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proven ability to influence and develop relationships with senior business leaders.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Comfortable working across matrixed organization structures and collaborating with global teams.
  • Experience leading transformation and change projects, including handling complex legislative requirements.
  • Specialist knowledge of employment law and employee relations matters.
  • Proven experience in business partnering and change management.
  • Good working knowledge of organization design and development.
  • Experience with TUPE, acquisition, and integration processes.
