Creating and effectively implementing the HR strategy and policy across the company, the Snr People Business Partner will work with teams and key stakeholders to help continue to develop organisational and people capability across the business.

The role

You will be responsible for building a positive employee experience, promoting equality and fairness, as well as ensuring we continue to maintain an agile organisation with a fantastic culture especially as the company grows.

Building strong and credible relationships with internal stakeholders is imperative to ensure effective business decisions and alignment to the overall business goals.

The role will work with minimal guidance and act as a mentor for colleagues with less experience as well as working across all areas of the business to deliver on all people related projects and initiatives, employee engagement and onboarding, reward and recognition, diversity and inclusion, well-being and all people practices.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the COO and the senior leaders, developing and implementing the people strategy across the business
  • Working with the internal stakeholder across the company to proactively develop and successfully implement policies, procedures and initiatives, whilst refreshing and updating existing ones
  • Coach, influence and provide feedback to key stakeholders to help make informed people decisions and support our people managers to develop and grow their teams
  • Continuous improvement and harmonising of the employee experience across the company e.g. employee engagement strategy, mapping of employee journey and key milestones, review of promotion pathways etc.
  • Ensure we have an effective performance management culture supported by strong policy and process, support our people leaders to have proactive discussions around performance and productivity
  • Embrace and support our coaching culture working with the small L&D team and business leaders to continuously evolve
  • Use people data effectively to make informed business decisions and forecast longer term business needs and trends, provide the necessary reporting and information in a timely and accurate way
  • Perform advanced employee relations functions including employment investigations, problem solving and dispute resolution, disciplinaries and grievances, business settlements and terminations
  • Research and implement a new HR system that is fit for purpose for our organisation and meets the need of our people and the people function
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work well across all areas of the business to ensure integration of people and business strategy.
  • Organisational Design - provide proactive advice to improve the effectiveness of our teams and manage change as we scale
  • Lead and coach HR professionals to ensure proactive, engaged, HR support to the organisation, conducting performance reviews and ensuring colleagues have opportunities for development.

Requirements

  • A commitment to the mission and values of Farsight
  • Significant experience in strategic and operational HR matters including employee relations activities
  • HR qualification - CIPD Level 7 or CIPD Level 5 with significant experience in the sector
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusion, with experience of helping organisations recruit diverse teams and creating inclusive working environments
  • Experience of coaching managers on how to lead and coach their teams effectively
  • Articulate, with the ability to translate complex information for a range of audiences
  • Natural collaboration skills, being able to work across teams, with a track record of working with colleagues to achieve results.

This is a UK based role which requires eligibility to work in the UK. We offer a Hybrid working model - happy to discuss flexibility/remote arrangements (UK).
