Senior Pensions Administrator
Role Responsibility
Due to the increased demand within our service, we are advertising multiple vacancies for the post of KR8 Senior Administrator (Pensions), working for Kent Pension Fund. The posts are permanent, full-time (37 hours a week). The primary location for this role is Maidstone, Kent and the successful candidates will undertake hybrid working (both home and office working, according to business needs). We welcome applications from both internal and external applicants. Applications from part-time applicants will also be considered; on your application please state the maximum number of hours you would be willing to undertake on a weekly basis.
You will join our large and successful Pensions & Treasury Service, within our Pensions Section. The post holders will provide a high quality pension administration service, checking and processing complex cases such as transfers and pensioner benefits. Whilst senior support will be available from more experienced colleagues, the post holders are expected to have an extensive knowledge and understanding of the pension regulations and working practices, to enable successful administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme (which Kent Pension Fund is part of). This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
