Knight Frank is looking to hire a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our 6-member payroll team.

Role:

The Senior Payroll Specialist will leverage their specialist payroll knowledge to support both the Deputy Payroll Manager and Payroll Manager in their duties. With over 5 years of fully in-house payroll experience, the role involves working closely with multiple business stakeholders at all levels, ensuring compliance with statutory and occupational requirements, and meeting deadlines. The role also requires the accurate and timely processing of payroll information using SAP and Working Life systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Deputy Payroll Manager with New Hires and the Termination process.
  • Full preparation of all SSP and Enhanced Sick Pay schemes.
  • Full preparation of all SMP and Enhanced Maternity Pay schemes.
  • Full preparation of all SPP and Enhanced Paternity Pay schemes.
  • To have full knowledge of Statutory Deductions; Tax, National Insurance, Student Loan Schemes, Post Graduate Loans and to perform gross to net calculations.
  • Knowledge of PAYE forms e.g. P11D, P60 and P45.
  • Assist in monitoring our busy Payroll Support email inbox, responding to emails from internal and external stakeholders and allocating the tasks received to our designated folders.
  • High level checks on additional monthly processes with reconciliation of spreadsheets. This will include referrals, Timesheets, and other monthly activities.
  • Supervision and reconciliation of monthly Commission claims.
  • Produce P45 & P60 letter statements as and when required.
  • To have full knowledge of Pension Auto Enrolment compliance and procedures.
  • Full responsibility for monthly pension transfers.
  • Full responsibility for processing Pension Opt Ins, Opt Outs and Ceasing Active Membership.
  • Support the team with annual processes, such as Childcare Assessment, Private Medical Renewal, Remuneration reviews, Promotions and Bonus awards.
  • Support the Payroll Manager with the P11D process and Payrolling Benefits in Kind.
  • Responsibility for running and producing ad-hoc reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Experience Required:

  • CIPP Qualified (essential)
  • 10 years payroll experience in a specialist role.
  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
  • SSP, SMP, SPP & SPL (essential)
  • SAP / Working Life experience (desirable)
