The Role
We are looking to add a Senior Payroll Operations Manager to our structure to support future growth and support our existing Payroll Teams who service over 13,000 employees per month across various companies.
The successful candidate should be able to work independently and in collaboration with others to lead an efficient and accurate Payroll Team to ensure processes, and end to end payrolls are completed within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
As a pivotal member of our Payroll Team the successful candidate will be involved in:
- Managing and leading our Payroll Team to ensure all our Payrolls are delivered on time and accurately.
- Managing and leading our Pension Team to ensure all activities are completed and TOC's pension files reconciled with no L.O.I. (Loss of Investment) generated.
- Providing support and training to all payroll colleagues on dealing with varying pay enquiries from Payroll staff and within all Op Co's, Bus and TUK as part of the payroll service provision for Solvd.
- Dealing with escalated issues.
- Performing routine control checks/ auditing on payroll processes.
- Processing End to End Payroll for Operating Companies, Bus or TUK when Payroll Operations Managers and Team Leaders are absent, or business needs require.
- Provide analytical data or reports to Stakeholders
You should have
- Stong leadership and management skills to lead, develop and motivate a team
- A clear vision and purpose and inspire teams and colleagues to organise themselves in an agile way in order to reach targets.
- A proven track record in Payroll data administration and managing a Payroll Team.
- Knowledge of payroll systems, taxation, statutory and national insurance rules
- Attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Strong relationship management with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
What you will get
- Circa £50,000 per annum depending on experience, plus bonus and excellent benefits.

- 37.5 hours per week
- Hybrid working, 40% of your working week at home, 60% in our Glasgow office.
