Detailed job description and main responsibilities
• To demonstrate strong leadership skills and to perform management duties to a high standard.
• To undertake all administrative duties efficiently and to a high standard.
• To ensure that patients receive a high standard of care.
• Deputise for the Imaging Team Leader, where and when required.
• Support the delivery of a high quality healthcare service ensuring that all patients receive a high standard of service delivery
• Handle queries from patients/relatives confidentially and sensitively; refer clinical-related queries to appropriate staff in accordance with data protection and information governance policies.
• Oversee the work of more junior staff and ensure work objectives are being met on a day-to-day basis and demonstrate duties to new starters.
• Carrying out appraisals for more junior members of staff.
• Ensure all procedures are followed re data capture for service specific outcomes.
• Adhere to trust-wide standard operating procedures and policies developed for clinical administrative processes and participate in their development.
• Provide support for managing of diary building for patient appointments.

- Vocational Level 3 or equivalent experience. Good general education, including numeracy and literacy skills
- Previous experience in an administrative role
- Demonstrable experience of working in an administrative role within a busy environment
- Proven acumen for approaching all situations with an open mind and 'can-do' attitude
- Able to work professionally with staff and patients
- Ability to plan and prioritise work
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- NHS Experience in Admin
- Willingness to extend role
- Proven ability to deputise for more senior members of the Imaging team
- Able to apply use of IT to principles of patient confidentiality

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
