Purpose of role
As Senior Partnerships Manager for London & Partners, you will be responsible for securing, developing and managing income generating partnerships with corporates aligned to our mission. This will primarily be across our business growth programmes (Grow London) and key priority sectors. A natural relationship builder and networker, you will bring the skills to quickly identify partnership opportunities to generate income and mutually beneficial strategic relationships. You will build a comprehensive pipeline of prospects to match our partnership offering, collaborating closely with internal teams to create compelling bespoke pitches and partnership packages. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and pro-active, a confident communicator at all levels, and who will bring passion and creativity to the role.
The focus of this role will initially be focused on generating new business, but will likely include account management responsibilities as team need evolves. It will also include line management of a Partnership Manager.

Key Tasks
- Responsible for identifying, securing and managing new high value and strategic partners across a range of sectors to meet and exceed income targets.
- Deliver high levels of prospect and partner engagement resulting in excellent conversion and renewal rates, and the creation of new networks.
- Be a visible, outward-facing representative of London & Partners, proactively seeking and establishing yourself in key networks, attending relevant events, and building new contacts.
- As an active ambassador for L&P, consistently build on organisation knowledge, updates, and products to confidently communicate these to partners/prospects and identify new collaboration opportunities.
- Lead and guide meaningful conversations to leverage partnership opportunities matched to objectives and maximising key relationships.
- Build and develop an informed pipeline of partner prospects, compiling intelligence and information to prioritise partnership opportunities.
- Work closely with wider Partnerships colleagues to refine our pipeline research processes and priorities to build a live and evolving pipeline, staying on top of key sector trends and news.
- Work closely with and effectively use senior leadership networks to advance partnership conversations.
- Support the Head of Business Partnerships and Partnerships Director with refining and shaping new partnership propositions, bringing innovative ideas and creative thinking.
- Line management of a Partnerships Manager with business development and account management responsibilities, conducting one-to-one meetings and managing performance.
- Ensure accurate pipeline reporting and use correct systems and processes to support performance and ongoing relationship management.
- Negotiate and implement contracts.
- Oher reasonable duties as allocated by the Head of Business Partnerships.
You'll have/bring
- Proven track record of securing and managing six and seven-figure partnerships.
- Experience developing strategic and complex partnerships, covering multiple deliverables and stakeholders.
- Strong networker with a passion for building relationships at all levels, including C-suite.
- Inherently self-motivated, resilient, and able to motivate and encourage others, quickly gaining buy-in from relevant stakeholders (internal & external) through persuasive and impactful communication.
- A natural commercial thinker, with an ability to strike the appropriate balance between mission, income, and delivery.
- Able to establish and manage effective working relationships both internally and externally.
- Naturally curious and able to ask the right questions and think creatively to generate meaningful discussion to identify opportunities and influence partnership conversations.
- Able to achieve objectives through creative and considered thinking, and a positive and innovative approach to problem solving.
- Highly effective written and verbal presentation and pitching skills, with ability to bring complex ideas to life succinctly and clearly.
- Working knowledge of CRM ideally Salesforce with the ability to develop and manage pipeline; leads and contacts.
- Able to adjust comfortably to, and remain productive within, the context of ambiguous and fast changing priorities and cultural agendas.
- An interest in high growth business, technology and innovation, and a passion for London.
- Line management experience is desirable.
