Senior Paralegal

Your primary focus will be to serve as the first point of contact for commercial contracts, helping to shape and support the legal landscape of a growing, ever-evolving company. Whether you're diving into individual cases or collaborating with the wider legal team, you'll have the chance to make a real impact, working hands-on with legal matters that drive the business forward. What you'll be doing

  • Reviewing a wide range of third-party supplier contracts - you'll be the first point of contact for contract queries, escalating when needed and working closely with Legal Counsels, the Deputy Data Protection Officer, our Chief Information Security Officer, and the Procurement Manager.
  • Managing the legal inbox - no two days will be the same as you tackle legal questions from teams across the business, including Fraud, Vetting, Sales, and Customer Experience.
  • Helping review customer contracts and handle customer queries.
  • Keeping our templates fresh and up-to-date.
  • Supporting the Data Protection and Risk and Compliance Teams.
  • Playing a part in developing and delivering our brand protection strategy and contributing to intellectual property reviews.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to solve problems without resorting to litigation.
  • Helping to implement our wider legal strategy across the business.

We'd love it if you have:

  • Previous in-house legal experience.
  • Worked at a reputable firm or in-house at a respected company.
  • A strong educational background - ideally, you've completed the LPC.
  • Brilliant communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Top-notch drafting skills and contract negotiation experience.
  • A curiosity to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Solid organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
  • The ability to work independently but also enjoy being part of a team.
  • Knowledge of commercial and corporate law.
  • A knack for building great relationships across the business.
  • The ability to explain complex legal issues in plain English.
  • An openness to feedback and a hunger to develop.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements.
  • A proactive mindset to assist Legal Counsel in managing legal matters and ensuring the business adheres to all relevant legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to provide clear, accurate, and timely advice to stakeholders on legal matters related to our products and services.
  • Support for new product launches, ensuring we're legally compliant every step of the way.
  • A drive to promote best practices in legal, compliance, and risk management.
  • Confidence to help design and deliver legal training to our teams.
