About the role
Salary of £65,033.60 including shift allowance + competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus!
Shifts are on a rotating basis:
- Day Shift: 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM
- Back Shift: 1:30 PM - 10:30 PM
- Night Shift: 10:30 PM - 5:30 AM
- Actively support the delivery of Cameronbridge Distilling strategies.
- Display Diageo values in day to day work: encourages this in others
- Utilise knowledge and experience to optimise plant performance.
- Take decisions based on this knowledge to ensure delivery of site KPIs.
- Actively contribute to plant/process improvement.
- Use KPI's to monitor and assess plant and process performance and make necessary adjustments.
- Clearly communicate with own team and others, to ensure the effective continuity of site operations both during and across shifts. This will include verbal and written communication. Respond promptly and appropriately to plant emergency and breakdown situations. This may include contact with emergency services.
- Identify and analyse any non-conforming deviations from the expected process parameters and take appropriate action
- Record and update data in a range of business systems (paper and electronic)
- Fully comply with all legal requirements and Diageo standards.
- Demonstrate and promote positive actions and behaviours within and outwith the workplace consistent with Diageo core values
- Work effectively in a team to deliver team and site objectives.
- Raise SAP Maintenance jobs and track to completion.
- Raise Purchase orders to procure goods and services.
About you
- General understanding of complete distillery process. With in-depth knowledge specific to role but including grain intake and transfer, malt plant, cooking, mashing, YOVing, fermentation and distillation.
- A knowledge and understanding of the Health and Safety, HMRC, environmental requirements and relevant legislation under which Cameronbridge operate
- Recognised Health and Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH) or a willingness to work towards obtaining one
- A knowledge and understanding of the health and safety, HMRC, environmental principles and relevant legislation under which Cameronbridge operates
- PC/Keyboard skills/IT skills
- HNC in technical subject area would be advantageous.
- Completed or actively participating in external technical training programme e.g. GCD/IBD diploma is highly desirable
- Actively builds trust and understanding within team
