About the Role

In this pivotal position, you will manage the Customer Fulfillment Centre (CFC) and collaborate with Delivery operations in a sophisticated automated environment. You will coach, inspire and energise a diverse leadership structure - creating a workplace rooted in collaboration, accountability and ambition.

Your leadership will ensure exceptional service for our customers while advancing safety, operational flow, compliance and performance across the entire CFC. This role requires a confident, visible leader who embraces complexity, champions innovation and brings people along through change.

This role will resonate with leaders from large-scale automated operations, who combine operational expertise with a passion for people, culture and improvement. What You'll Lead

A large, skilled leadership community: ~10 Operations Managers, ~40 Area Managers and ~50 Coordinators

Daily operational execution, workflow optimisation and labour planning

Safety, efficiency and fleet compliance across a high-tech automated landscape

A culture that celebrates continuous improvement, learning and shared success

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Lead the full breadth of operations (inbound and outbound) in a fast-paced automated environment

Ensure robust execution, smooth flow and high-quality service
Drive proactive workforce planning aligned to demand

Maintain high compliance across all operations, vehicles and assets

Build strong, trusted partnerships with Operations Managers

Data & Performance

Champion data-driven decision making and daily KPI ownership
Convert insights into clear actions that lift performance

Lead performance management using PROD systems

Identify and embed continuous improvement initiatives that deliver real impact

People Leadership

Provide hands-on, authentic leadership and capability development

Inspire confidence, accountability and problem-solving at all levels

Coach managers through change and transformation

Foster an environment where people grow, achieve and take pride in their work

Change & Culture

Lead teams through system challenges, transitions and legacy processes

Drive cultural and engagement improvements with clarity and purpose

Role-model behaviours that elevate teamwork, performance and belief in what's possible

About you

Previous experience in a senior management position, leading large teams in a high-volume, automated 24/7 environment

Working knowledge of warehouse and automation software systems such as WMS/WCS, Knapp, ATLAS or similar

Data-driven mindset with excellent analytical capability

Experience in stakeholder management, using strong influencing skills to build trusted productive relationships across all levels of the organisation.

Strong background in continuous improvement and operational excellence

Confident change leader who embraces transformation and change

Ability to build strong relationships across operations

A compelling communicator with strong influencing skills

IOSH Managing Safely qualification and health and safety practises
