Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Evidence of post graduate study relevant to specialism
  • Appropriate relevant post grad experience working in a community setting and with equipment and adaptations
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • HCPC registration

Desirable criteria

  • Student Accreditation
  • Evidence of professional networking in area of specialisation
  • Appropriate relevant post grad experience working in a community setting and with equipment and adaptations

Clinical

Desirable criteria

  • To be able to utilise experience and clinical knowledge to enable effective communication when dealing with complex/difficult patient situations where there may be conflict and a lack of acceptance of a diagnosis, care programme and/or home situation.

Knowledge and skills

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrate ability to manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of best practice in rehabilitation
  • Knowledge of use of IT systems including Outlook and Excel
  • Demonstrable experience of audit
  • Experience of supervision of students and junior staff
  • Evidence of working with people with multiple pathology and therapy needs

Desirable criteria

  • Led service development project

Work Requirements

Essential criteria

  • Current UK Valid Driving License , Access to a car.
  • Willing to carry out all duties and responsibilities of the post in accordance with the Trust's Equal Opportunities and Equality and Diversity policies
