Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
Desirable criteria
- Accredited student educator
- Post-graduate training in relevant topics
Experience
Essential criteria
- 12 months experience working as a qualified OT in the UK
- Demonstrable evidence of relevant clinical experience at band 5/band 6 level in the UK
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of supporting junior staff/students as part of current/recent role
- Acute healthcare NHS experience
Skills, knowledge and ability
Essential criteria
- Evidence of ability to demonstrate carrying a complex OT caseload in clinical settings
- Ability to evidence competencies in clinical practice - for example (but not limited to) moving and handling, wheelchair/ seating assessment, cognitive assessment, hand/UL assessment etc
Desirable criteria
- Member of relevant RCOT special interest group or equivalent
- Working knowledge of local prescribing policy and practices for community equipment services
