Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration

Desirable criteria

  • Accredited student educator
  • Post-graduate training in relevant topics

Experience

Essential criteria

  • 12 months experience working as a qualified OT in the UK
  • Demonstrable evidence of relevant clinical experience at band 5/band 6 level in the UK

Desirable criteria

  • Evidence of supporting junior staff/students as part of current/recent role
  • Acute healthcare NHS experience

Skills, knowledge and ability

Essential criteria

  • Evidence of ability to demonstrate carrying a complex OT caseload in clinical settings
  • Ability to evidence competencies in clinical practice - for example (but not limited to) moving and handling, wheelchair/ seating assessment, cognitive assessment, hand/UL assessment etc

Desirable criteria

  • Member of relevant RCOT special interest group or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of local prescribing policy and practices for community equipment services

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
