Hello, I am Issy, Occupational Therapy Lead for the North Community Locality Teams. If successful, you will be working alongside existing Occupational Therapist's in the Peterborough Adult Locality Team to support the delivery of the 5 core workstreams which include; Vocation, Functional Assessment, Reablement, Sensory Approaches and Small equipment provision. You will have the opportunity to deliver structured, OT specific intervention to adults who access secondary mental health services.

If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference to the delivery of care for service users across a broad range of mental health settings and you are passionate about supporting staff to develop their practice through innovation and empowerment - then this is the role for you!

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and innovative Registered Occupational Therapist to join the Adults and Specialist Mental Health Directorate. This is a full-time post (37.5 hours) but part- time will be considered for the right applicant. All our Trust Occupational Therapy services use the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) for assessment and treatment with a strong focus on better supporting patients in their recovery journey.

Main duties of the job

*NON CARE COORDINATION ROLE*

If successful, your main role will be to provide specialised Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions, encompassing the 5 workstreams: functional, reablement, vocational, sensory, and small equipment provision. You will work alongside other Occupational Therapist's in the team, to deliver 1:1 specialist intervention as well as group work, with the support from myself.

As a Trust we have been investing in using sensory approaches to support Occupational Therapists to deliver targeted sensory modulation interventions, in collaboration with our patients and designed to support the management of the impact of physiological and psychological distress on daily life. This is currently being done through 1:1 and group work.

The Trust is also able to offer streams of peer and formal supervision (depending on qualification status) to clinicians to ensure quality sensory approaches intervention is delivered.

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot usepublic transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs.
