Salary £39,513 - £44,711 | Full time, Permanent | Short Term Support Service | Skelmersdale - West Lancashire

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and innovative Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Services Short Term Support Service. This permanent, full-time position involves working across Lancashire, including 1 in every 4 weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals to achieve their goals and live independently in their homes.
  • Collaborate with social work colleagues, care providers, and other partners.
  • Develop and coach a reenabling approach and/or longer-term compensatory adaptations.
  • Set and review therapeutic goals, creating person-centred support plans.
  • Mentor and support non/qualified staff, ensuring high standards and quality of work.
  • Participate in continual service development and access training opportunities.

Requirements

  • Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to practice.
  • The post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). Successful candidates will need to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a 'disclosure'.
  • A car is required for use in connection with the duties of this post, and you must be insured for business use. Consideration will be given to candidates who cannot drive due to a disability.

You must be registered (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with the Social Care Council. For Social Worker/Care Manager positions where non social worker qualifications are accepted, registration is not required, and you will be appointed as a Care Manager.

You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability
