Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy
- Active registration with the Health Care Professions Council
- Evidence of CPD and clinical skills relevant to the areas of Stroke and rehabilitation
- Team leadership experience
- Evidence of being a supervisor, student mentor/ clinical educator
Desirable criteria
- In-depth experience of a broad base of O.T. clinical skills within a physical health setting
- Experience of devising and delivering training
- Experience of leading clinical audit and service evaluation
- Member of a specialist interest group
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
- Ability to carry out in-depth O.T. assessment of complex clients with a diverse range of pathologies
- Ability to formulate specialist programmes of intervention, implement and evaluate treatment for complex patients
- Experience of patient discharge planning
- Problem-solving skills and prioritisation skills
- Flexible and open to change, adaptable
- MDT approach, open communication
- Ability to travel between sites
Desirable criteria
- Complaints/conflict management
- Experience with local and national policies
- Experience of quality assurance and quality audit within practice
- Risk management
- Recruitment experience
