Are you looking for a Specialist Band 6 physical rehabilitation Occupational Therapy post in West Hertfordshire with the potential to rotate through different local rehabilitation settings?

It is an exciting time to join Central London Community NHS Trust (CLCH) and we are seeking enthusiastic and skilled colleagues to join us as we build on existing models of care and introduce new ways of working.

Our rehabilitation services are fully integrated between the community and acute. We specialise in general rehab for the elderly and offer a 17 day pathway for patients with a variety of comorbidities. The post holder will be required to complete assessments, interventions and rehabilitation programmes in order to aid the recovery of patients admitted to Langley House. You will be required to provide excellent clinical reasoning and hold a caseload of patients within the service.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual, who is passionate about helping patients to improve their quality of life and helping staff to develop in their roles and are keen to learn. You will be working with a dedicated multidisciplinary team that includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Doctors and Social Workers. The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously, have excellent communication and time management skills with the ability to problem solve and prioritise.

In this role you will be required to supervise junior Occupational Therapists and students within the team. In addition to assisting with the team with the patient caseload, service development and quality improvement projects you will have the opportunity to deputise for the Band 7 OT.

We have ample free parking on site and good transport links from the hospital site. These include public transport and road links to the M1 and M25.
