Recent significant investment leads to the introduction of a Senior OHA: IPC Functional Lead role.
Working within a well-resourced multi-disciplinary team, with responsibility to partner Infection Prevention and Control, you will work as a Snr OHA, supporting the delivery of OH Services to the Trust and, as a functional lead, you will be responsible for building a deep understanding of Trust IPC risks, controls and staff protection, both current and predicted, and will act to ensure the OH team can respond accordingly.
Accountable for relationship building and staff OH-IPC health OH-IPC risk management, this role offers opportunity for professional development, visibility within the organisation and opportunity to influence at a divisional level.
Main duties of the job
• As part of a multi-disciplinary team the purpose of this role is to support the protection and promotion of the health and wellbeing of current and prospective employees, and those from contracted and other organisations, as per Trust arrangements.
• In accordance with Trust / Department policy and procedures, to deliver OH clinical activity such as management referral consultation and reporting, health clearance activity, and risk management & exposure related advice and intervention.
• As a specialist practitioner, provide evidence-based opinion, intervention and guidance to Trust management and partner organisations to support their line and risk management responsibilities. Assist in safeguarding against risks arising from work and the working environment and influence the application of safe and healthy work practices.
• Support the line management, development and mentoring of others (clinical and administrative).
• To ensure the maintenance of service delivery, deputise (within level of competence) for OH Managers: Operational and Governance, Snr OHA: Business Partners and all other clinical staff within the OH Team.
• As Snr OHA: IPC Functional Lead, lead the OH-IPC service, providing proactive specialist advice, guidance and analysed reporting to the IPC Directorate, Trust management, all staff and the OH team. Attendance and active representation at Trust IPC meetings, on behalf of the ICH OH-IPC Service.

- Part 3 NMC Register: SCPHN

Experience
Essential criteria
- 3 years+ wide range of OH nursing including 1 year+ NHS OH experience
- 2 year+ OH Team Leader / Mentor / Manager
