Person specification

Qualification

Essential criteria

  • Good standard of education and English language.
  • Worked at a band 2 Nursing Assistant or equivalent
  • Holds a level 3 Vocational Qualification (e.g. NVQ or Apprenticeship) in clinical health care OR equivalent experience

Desirable criteria

  • Speciality specific training and evidence of competencies being achieved and continued development

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Understanding of child development and how complex needs can affect development
  • Communication skills
  • Time management

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of complex health needs in children

EXPERIENCE

Essential criteria

  • Previous experience of working within a hospital / care setting.

Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience of working in a care setting with children
  • Experience of children with complex needs / disabilities
  • Experience of working in community
  • Experience of lone working

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES/ ABILITIES

  • Undertake duties in a professional manner
