Person specification

Qualifications Academic

Essential criteria

  • Registered Nurse Evidence of level 6/7 studies.
  • Evidence of Teaching/Mentorship

Desirable criteria

  • Advanced Life Support (ALS)
  • Acute Illness Management (AIMS)

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Extensive experience working at band 6 within an acute area/setting.
  • Experience in Leadership/Management
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload

Desirable criteria

  • Certificate/qualification in Leadership/Management.
  • Experience and insight into leadership at a site/trust level.

Skills

Essential criteria

  • Ability to develop and maintain communication with people about difficult matters and/or in difficult situations.
  • Able to demonstrate effective management, interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Evidence of the ability to lead, manage, coordinate, delegate and motivate a team in a variety of ward settings.
  • Able to demonstrate good communication skills.

Desirable criteria

  • Evidence of independently managing workload/lone working.
