The Innovation Manager role

The Operational Improvement Manager is responsible for actively promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. Train/Coach/Mentor employees at all levels on the tools and methods that support a continuous improvement culture. You will be responsible for driving continuous and significant improvements in the areas of buildsure (safety, quality, programme, cost). This will be achieved by developing a lean/continuous improvement strategy and methodically implementing this alongside our project, regional and function teams.

This position's responsibility includes all aspects of operational improvement, focusing on developing and executing strategies and establishing a vision that leads to operational excellence through application and utilization of world-class lean manufacturing principles.

Your profile

  • You will be highly analytical and experienced with project coordination, using problem-solving skills to foresee obstacles and make strategic decisions.
  • Forward thinker, leader and motivator to provide vision to the business and identify long term goals. Set focused targets and reassess goals to identify areas of the business on track and which requires refocusing.
  • Active coach & problem solver, interacting with employees and looking for opportunities to improve processes. Enhance productivity and continue to make processes flow even better
  • Technical expertise - a firm understanding of process improvement techniques and experience applying these to make organizational changes (a background in lean would be of benefit)
  • Analytical thinking - evaluate individual processes and projects, to arrive at a summary of overall organizational status
  • Communication skills - excellent verbal, listening and written skills to hold presentations, facilitate meetings, training and report writing.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or extensive experience using a PMI-based Project Management Methodology/Process Improvement methodology desired.
  • Membership of an industry related professional body would be advantageous
