DWF are currently hiring for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our market leading public sector practice who will advise on the leading non-contentious and contentious procurement matters of the day. We will also welcome applications from candidates who are Legal Directors.

The Public Sector is one of the firm's biggest growth areas over recent years with the firm actively servicing 19 national and regional framework agreements (including CCS RM6179, 6240, Welsh Government, Scottish Government, EmLawshare, LBLA, NEPO and others) which leads to significant sales to public sector bodies in the UK and Strategic Suppliers to Central and Local Government clients.

We are looking for someone to be based in any of DWF's regional offices (Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle). We offer a flexible, hybrid working approach with employees working in the office 2 or 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on all aspects of procurement law and the procurement lifecycle.
  • Working closely with central government, local government, wider public bodies and suppliers to the public sector.
  • Advising on the procurement of high-profile development agreements and managing concession procurements.
  • Developing and reviewing the suite of procurement documentation and notices.
  • Providing training and advice on the impact of the Procurement Act 2023.

What will help you succeed in this role?

Desirable

  • Extensive knowledge of public procurement law.
  • Proven procurement experience in both public and private sectors.
  • Experience advising central and local government, wider public bodies, and suppliers to the public sector.
