Job Description

Verisk is seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our client-facing Model Product Management Team in London as a Senior Model Product Manager. In this role, you will play a critical part in coordinating the development of Verisk's natural catastrophe models, with opportunities to shape model scope, oversee execution, and support successful implementation.

You will be at the forefront of bringing complex, interdisciplinary models to market, ensuring a strong customer-centric approach throughout the entire lifecycle. This role carries leadership responsibility, driving model adoption through close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key market stakeholders, including customers, consulting, research, engineering, QA, and business development teams, to ensure model strategy remains current and impactful.
  • Lead the collection of client and market feedback through regular engagement and close collaboration with Consulting and Client Services teams.
  • Conduct detailed business analysis for new models and initiatives, including cost-benefit analysis, market trends, competitive intelligence, risk assessment, industry best practices, and development timelines.
  • Develop compelling business cases for new models and ensure update scopes align with the needs of existing and prospective clients.
  • Deliver technical model presentations and respond to model-related queries for a range of audiences, supporting new licence opportunities, model evaluations, and regulatory requirements associated with major model updates.
  • Coordinate model change management activities for London and European markets, working closely with the wider Model Product Management (MPM) team to ensure timely and effective client adoption.
  • Represent Verisk at industry and academic conferences, delivering thought leadership presentations and participating in industry working groups.
  • Collaborate with Research teams to translate scientific innovation into market-ready model products that address client needs.
  • Partner with Regulatory, Consulting, and Client Services teams to support model adoption, regulatory questionnaires, and insurance and climate stress-testing requirements.
  • Work closely with other Verisk business units offering complementary solutions to align go-to-market strategies, identify synergies, and support future innovation.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for model data-as-a-service across model evaluation, parametric insurance, and underwriting tools, with a focus on London, European, and international markets. Lead the definition of use cases, delivery models, and data product libraries.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in a STEM field (PhD preferred; Master's considered with relevant experience).
  • Solid experience in the insurance industry, including strong experience with CAT modeling products.
  • Strong knowledge of natural hazard models (e.g., hurricane, earthquake, flood, wildfire, severe convective storm).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely. Commitment to a client-facing role.
  • Proven ability to identify client use cases, articulate product value, and drive innovation.
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects and balancing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to inspire collaboration and innovative thinking.
  • Product management experience, including Agile methodologies, preferred.
  • Programming skills in SQL, R, or Python and experience with ArcGIS are advantageous.

This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of two days per week in the London office.
