The primary focus of this role is to protect our profitability through accurate planning, strong trading and detailed inventory management. It requires an ability to work very closely with buying, logistics and ecommerce teams to achieve these goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibility for maximizing sales and profit and managing inventory and OTB, ensuring the greatest availability to drive full price sales whilst minimizing markdown. You will work closely with the buying team and logistics team to ensure a balanced seasonal range and on time delivery.
- Trade: Produce weekly, monthly, seasonal and ad hoc trading reports to offer insight into business performance and propose actions to maximise opportunity and minimise risks.
- Present insights and proposals in Monday trade meeting with senior leadership team.
- Weekly, monthly and seasonal analysis on global performance and seasonal analysis into returns, sizing and pricing.
- Drive weekly re-order strategy. Identify styles to repeat and work closely with buying and suppliers to manage re-orders and re-negotiate cost prices.
- Propose & monitor promotional activity & markdowns based on trade performance.
- Identifying slow moving stock and developing a cost-effective solution to ensure the EOS stock targets are met.
- Manage line cards ensuring availability on all continuity lines.
- Manage deliveries into the business in close collaboration with buying and logistics teams.
- Update and reforecast the WSSI to ensure that it reflects the most accurate data and present to leadership team on a monthly basis, proposing appropriate actions to achieve sales, profit and stock/OTB targets.
- Produce lessons learnt at end of season. Ensure that they are captured and constructively fed back and incorporated into future planning.
- Use WSSI and lessons learnt to create the future assortment planning strategy at category and season level, working in close collaboration with Buying and Design, to ensure clarity on measurable KPIs for sales, margin, mark down, profit, stock and OTB in line with Budget and 3 year plans

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum 4 years of experience at merchandiser level in a fashion, clothing and accessories business.
- Experience in on-line businesses, or businesses with a significant proportion of sales from on-line channel
- Data led, with the ability to move between detail and top line to make timely and efficient business decisions.
- Proactive person who is always looking for opportunities to drive business growth
- Observant and considered. Able to challenge current ways of working, with proposals for alternatives that will enhance and benefit the business.
- A good communicator who is able to work with multiple departments and understands how to work as a cross functional team to achieve business goals
- Excellent excel skills
- Experience in Power BI report and dash board creation
