Job summary
Are you a Qualified Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge working as part of an expanding crisis service within CAMHS? Do you want a role that coincides with your home life whilst also paying HCAS?
We are seeking an RMN, OT, or Social Worker to take up this exciting opportunity to join our team at Fir Tree House in Slough.
In this role you will be offering short-term structured and individualised intensive intervention to young people in crisis, as well as their families within a supportive multi-disciplinary team. You will do this both with young people and their families individually and in group settings.
You will also provide multi-agency consultation/liaison, which involves attending and contributing to, multi-agency meetings including safeguarding and child protection meetings.There will also be an element of supporting and supervising junior staff in the team.
We are keen to develop our team to consist of multi-disciplines and ensure staff have opportunities to develop themselves and the service. To help ensure this we offer regular supportive supervision and mentoring, to help you develop and feel confident/supported in this role.
We welcome applicants who have not worked in CAMHS crisis services but have transferable skills relevant to the role.
The core shift pattern is Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, with some flexibility to run evening groups where required, as well as some weekend working on a rota basis.
Main duties of the job
- Provide therapeutic short-term intensive interventions to young people and their families, as appropriate
- Independently manage an appropriately sized caseload (with supervision and support)
- Offer supervision and training to junior colleagues
- To work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and within a multiagency system of care, by involving multi-agency input around the children and young people's needs.
- Maintain own continuing professional development and contribute to team professional development initiatives
