About the Role

Are you a Senior Medical Editor with a passion for ensuring accuracy and clarity in scientific communications? Do you have experience working within an agency setting, managing complex projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional work? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are seeking a talented Senior Medical Editor to join our experienced editing team and help us deliver high-quality scientific content across a range of channels. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all scientific content is accurate, clear, and consistent with client objectives and brand standards. As a Senior Medical Editor you will be responsible for pioneering excellence in quality and accuracy as well as strengthening processes, and mentoring and coaching more junior team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Edit and proofread scientific content across a range of assets ranging from show files for ad boards, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide decks to checking subtitles on a video
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all scientific content meets client objectives and brand standards
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the editorial team
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to inform editorial decisions

About you

  • Extensive experience as a Medical Editor, within an agency setting
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to edit and proofread scientific content across a range of channels
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work on time
  • Ability to challenge content to ensure excellence of outputs in terms of accuracy, interpretation, visual impact and adherence to copyright regulations
  • Strong communication skills, high emotional intelligence, the ability to adapt style according to the needs of clients and teams, and the ability to respond rapidly to situations and manage internal/external issues
  • A good understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the healthcare industry.
